They face Cubicles (kew-bih-KLEEZ), the efficiency consultant for the company whose focus on results leads to high production numbers, but extremely low worker morale. Follow the story of three friends that decide to try to start a superhero team in the newly built city of New Edmonton decades after a nuclear apocalypse. They have their work cut-out for them as the city is full of people with Extra-Human Abilities. These new attributes are less than refined. For every positive that an ability may provide, there is always an equal (or worse) downside.
What is this all about?
In New Edmonton, nearly everyone has extra human abilities, but not everyone has purpose.
With powers being the norm and Universal Basic Income keeping the lights on, it’s easy to fade into the background. Especially when your “gift” can come with more baggage than benefit; for every positive that an ability may provide, there is always an equal (or worse) downside.
Meet Andy, Jason, and Kirby: three of the least motivated misfits in town. Their powers? Questionable. Their ambition? Debatable. But when they decide to turn their genetic quirks into something vaguely useful, things start to get... complicated. Join them as they stumble through schemes, collect oddball allies (and enemies), and try to answer the pressing questions:
Will they be able to separate themselves from the rest and become actual superheroes?
Or just give up like they always do and simply exist in the comfort of their ratty apartment?
